New Year’s Resolution to lose weight, build muscle, or eat healthy? I got you covered.
Do you know what one of, if not THE most common New Year’s Resolutions is?
It’s weight loss.
That means that during the time between right now and those first few days after January 1st, millions of people are going to put in all sorts of time and effort researching, learning, and trying to come up with a weight loss game plan.
They’ll come across all kinds of diet and nutrition information along with a variety of exercise information.
They’ll learn about dozens of different weight loss diets and methods, most of which will be based around conflicting information.
They’ll look for quick fixes and magic pills, and they’ll wade through a seemingly infinite amount of scams, lies, myths, gimmicks and fads all while hoping they don’t fall for any of it despite the fact that a large percentage of them will.
They’ll spend their money on products they do and do not need.
They’ll read through giant lists of tips and facts in every newspaper and magazine they get and every web site they visit.
They’ll pretty much do everything they possibly can to prepare themselves for making this New Year’s Resolution a successful one. And then, next year, there’s a good chance most of them will repeat this process all over again.
If you happen to be one of the millions of people who has made weight loss their New Year’s Resolution, and you are indeed planning on taking part in doing some or all of the above, then I have one simple message for you…
That’s right… don’t. Don’t do any of it. Don’t waste any of your vacation from school or work on it. Don’t take away time you could be spending with your family and spend it on this. Don’t interrupt your present opening. Don’t have it on your mind while counting down the final 10 seconds of the year. Just… don’t.
Instead, sit back, relax, and enjoy what’s left of this holiday season. Play with your gifts, hang out with your family, and just do whatever it is you would do if you didn’t have to prepare at all for losing weight this new year. Got it? Good.
Now, you may be wondering why I’m telling you this. Here’s my reason:
Sometime, during that first week of January, instead of going out and looking for weight loss… I’m going to bring weight loss to you.
So, go about the rest of this year and the first few days of next year as you normally would with the peace of mind of knowing that, the next time you hear from me, I’m going to have a slightly late Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa gift for you that is going to greatly increase the chances of your resolution being resolved.
